30th September 2012
Apologies for the late posting. Yesterday was one of those days, for me anyway, when the horse you back does poorly and the winner comes from the other 1 or 2 in the race that stood out. Hopefully some of you would have got on the eventual winners as you liked the look of them more. With rain at the Curragh the going is now heavy. Hopefully that will help cut the wheat from the chaff for us today.
14.40 Curragh
Plenty in the field look to be able to cope with the conditions although one that may stuggle is Tennessee Wildcat, even though he has raced at Group 3 level prior to this. Conversely VIZTORIA comes here after only one start, an impressive 7.5 length win last time out, which included Magical Dream behind who races later. That horse has since gone on to be rated at 103, and accounting for the win that day, the selection could be anything. With Murtagh on board she has a big chance, and Snow Queen will find this a lot easier then her last race in illustrious company. Very Elusive represents connections that appropriately fit the name and Boston Rocker comes out best at the weights. Awakened Spirit stays on well in all her races which will bode well here and as long as she's involved towards the business end of the race she can show improvement to be thereabouts for this. 3/1
Good luck!
