A pleasing day yesterday with Captain Ramius picking up the Ayr Gold Cup. Hopefully you backed him and it goes to show the benefit of the larger races where the odds are worthwhile for backing a couple of horses. Just the one for today to keep things ticking over.

CAPONATA has been followed so far this season and has been extremely unlucky not to have secured a Group victory so far. This looks like her opportunity to make amends, predominantly at the expense of improving Alla Speranza. The rest of the field have shown a varied mix of form, and the consistency of Dermot's Weld filly makes her stand out from the others. 7/4
