Apologies for the late post today everyone. Three winners at Ascot, two seconds, and an unplaced finished signed off a good day yesterday. There's racing on both sides of the English Channel and the Irish Sea today but here are today's best bets.

15.05 Ascot

The combination of 6 furlongs on soft ground will ensure this suits SOUL right down to the ground. Performing below his best in his past two races over 7 furlongs, he appears much better over a stiff six and can stop the ever progressing Mince in her tracks, who may not cope with the going today. The same can be said for Valbchek and most of the selection's opposition, who is further helped by taking this drop in grade. 7/2

16.45 Ascot

The soft ground will favour several of these including Sentaril, Radio Gaga and Punita but I just fancy BONNIE BRAE to take this. She's been searching for soft ground since her impressive heavy ground win at Newmarket, and that proven form on soft ground at a stiff track bode very well for today. That win had Captain Ramius behind with that form  being franked since on soft ground at Ayr and could be further strengthened earlier at Ascot. 4/1
