31st October 2012
We're on a bit of a run at the moment, scoring 3 winners out of the last 4 bets and a 4th place for the other who was paying out each way with some bookmakers despite one non runner. The focus of my attentions today are from across the Irish Sea, and there's some good horses running for us to back and keep an eye on for the season also.
12.45 Punchestown
This race obviously revolves around OSCARS WELL and whether he can translate his hurdling form to fences. He's spent the past year and a half going down to a who's who of the 2 mile hurdling division, always performing with credit as in all honesty he was unlikely to win those races. What is promising is that he often outperformed expectations, so now sent chasing I'm sure he's more than capable of taking this Beginners Chase. His trainer is happy with him and he should enjoy the conditions underfoot today. He's no price for an outright bet, especially on his debut, but as a price boost for a double or treble he looks good. 4/9 Bet365
13.15 Punchestown
This is a really tasty encounter between Sword Of Destiny and BUCKERS BRIDGE. The former is quite rightly the favourite on current form, bringing a course and distance win over hurdles to the table, as well as winning up to 3 miles. With no problems with the going he has a massive chance. However I just prefer the latter, representing the introduction unnecessary Bromhead/Potts team and this 6 year old is held in incredibly high regard by his connections and they see chasing as his game. He's unbeaten in bumpers and point-to-points and I've been very keen to see his chasing debut. 11/8 Bet365
Good luck!
