Apologies for the lack of a post yesterday everyone. With various things I was doing this weekend I didn't get a proper chance to look at yesterday's full range of cards and it would have been unwise to have put something on which would have been misleading as in depth. Saturday saw a welcome return to the winner's circle for us with 4 out of 9 winners plus a very close defeat of Countrywide Flame. It hopefully was a profitable day for you, as although 3 of the 4 were short priced winners, Mull Of Killough was advised in the morning at 14/1. Here are today's selections.
14.40 Musselburgh
A few horses re oppose here, but on different terms and under different conditions which more often than not in these lower class events causes a reversal. XILERATOR heads up the market and looks to reverse form with top weight Common Touch with a 6 pound reversal in the weights in his favour. That certainly gives him a better chance of landing this, as does the dryer ground they will race on today. He also is on the right side of a 6 pound reversal with Capaill Liath who looks more of a threat. Green Howard further down the card arrives in good form and off a career high mark. He certainly should be involved in proceedings towards the end of the race, but may not have enough to claw back those classier horses. 4/1
15.15 Musselburgh
Itlaaq has to carry the monster burden of 10 stone and looks set to struggle on the softer going today. He has been racing in some much better races than this, but against some improvers further down the racecard he looks susceptible. The two that look most set to improve are LOS NADIS and Tappanappa with preference for the former who's form on soft conditions on the flat is very good. He has to cope with a 5 pound rise today and with the trusty Graham Lee on board he looks able to cope with it, especially on softer ground where he performs best and much better than his main rival. Orsippus would be much more fancied if arriving in any sort of form, but the market leader looks set to give his backers a fair race here. 7/2
Good luck!
