Good morning all, apologies for the late post, but after yesterday's abandonments I wanted to make sure racing was underway.
13.50 Taunton
There are a few names in this race, with Carrigmorna King attempting to continue his successful switch to chasing after making all at Ludlow. He may not get such an easy chance to lead today, with Theatrical Star and CHANGING TIMES also usual front runners, but it is the latter whose form stands out in particular. Able to race off the same mark as when successful at Market Rasen last time, he also ran Molotof close over an inadequate distance and furthermore on his chasing debut ran Rival D'estruval close who has since won well at Kelso and will be going for the 4 miler at Cheltenham. He should have no problem with conditions today and can see this out well. Jump City and Rajdhani Express also warrant respect and this looks a good encounter. 10/3 Betvictor, Bet365
15.20 Taunton
Although the drop back in trip may not look to suit MARSHAL ZHUKOV on the bare face of it, the way he travelled well before finishing slowly at Ascot suggests that combined with the soft conditions, this could be an ideal trip for him. I feel there's definitely another win in him, and he should be able to cope with today's mark. The assistance of Joe Tizzard in the saddle as well, ahead of a claimer, should ensure he is handled well in this race, and he certainly has a turn of foot to cope with some more well known 2 milers. Ciceron has a course and distance win in soft conditions to his name, but it will have to be seen how he deals with his opening handicap mark, although he was rated higher over hurdles. Elenika's chances will be enhanced if Rajdhani Express wins the earlier race, and on ratings comes out best at the weights. He certainly can get involved. 5/2 several
Good luck!
