10th December 2012

Now that the dust has settled on the weekend's racing, we can really see that the Cheltenham markets are beginning to tingle. It's been a great season so far, and with the upcoming Festive period bringing together all the big names again it's a wonderful time to be a race fan. More clues for Cheltenham were discovered yesterday, and similar to Saturday's racing, please continue to follow Cheltenham Watch for updates. This weekend's racing should be fully analysed by the end of the day. This week builds up to the International Meeting at Cheltenham, where we look set to see Rock On Ruby and Grandouet clash in the feature race to name but two horses appearing. So as always, don't be saddened by some lower quality racing during the week. To keep us ticking over, here is a selection for today.

13.20 Musselburgh

HAZY TOM was disappointing when finishing 6th behind Creekside on their chasing debuts, but the firm ground was definitely against Charlie Longsdon's horse that day, and consequently with the cut in the ground at Musselburgh today, I can see the placings being revered. Hazy Tom is also helped by the fact the pair reoppose on better terms to the tune of 2 pounds. Swift Arrow could make an impact here but it's difficult to know what to make of his handicap mark. He was comprehensively beaten off 114, before scoring well off 112 so until we see which horse is involved in the race, he is too risky in my opinion. Of the rest it could be left to Civil Unrest to give the selection most to think about. 10/3 Betvictor

Good luck!
