It continues to be an extremely hard week, but with quality racing coming up over the next few days for Newmarket's Cambridgeshire meeting we can hopefully find some winners like we did with the St Leger meeting. Here are the best three from tomorrow.
15.10 Newmarket
This looks an absolutely cracking encounter, with some of this season's finest new fillies taking on the older mares. Set To Music heads up the weights having to carry a penalty but out of the older horses, Jehannedarc is feared most. She is likely to get outpaced at the crucial time and stay on for a place, unless they changed tactics with her and she commits for home early. Sea Of Heartbreak is another of the older horses who is feared, taking a step down from higher class races to compete in this. I'm unconvinced though whether this is her optimum trip and will instead look to the three year olds to carry on their fine record. Bana Wu is an interesting entry, stepping up from a mile after looking one paced last time out. It's a deliberate step that may pay dividends, but in a difficult race like this, a horse at home over this trip is a better option. SEQUENCE undoubtedly is best at this trip and her second last time out to Pale Mimosa could be anything. We don't know how good the horse she lost too really is, and given a month to get over those excursions she is taken to land this. Gallipot may find this her best trip too, but Sequence's freshness is taken to edge it. 13/2
15.40 Newmarket
HAVANA GOLD arrives here after just holding on to beat Al Waab last time over a mile at Haydock. This drop back to 7 furlongs should therefore suit and he is taken to continue his impressive season, notch another winner in this race for Richard Hannon and a quickfire double for Richard Hughes. In theory he should still be unbeaten but for a bizarre unseating at Deauville and should have enough for these. Unsinkable would prefer more rain and cut in the ground, which despite the weather we have seen, he may not get at Newmarket. Ebn Arab has come up against some of the best in his previous race, but even this may be too much for him. 11/10
16.15 Newmarket
On all known form this should be a head to head between two of Bin Suroor's three runners - Cavalryman and LOST IN THE MOMENT. Although it may seem that the former's fourth compared to his stablemate's third behind Times Up last time may have just been a poor run and he is entitled to reverse form, the 3 pound penalty makes this very interesting. In these big head to heads it often pays to side with Frankie, but De Sousa will not give this up lightly, and his horse is entitled to improve on only his fourth run at 2 miles plus. It will be very interesting to see how it finishes. 4/1
Good luck!
